Croydon Roller FAQs

Check out our most frequently asked questions for the Roller rink before you make your journey. If your question isn’t here, feel free to email enquiries@centrale.co.uk with your question and we will come back to you asap.

What skate sizes are available (child and adult)? 

 Child size 8 - Adult size 13

Is there a minimum age or height to skate? 

Children need to be 5 years of age or over to skate. Any children under 8 years of age to be accompanied on the rink by an adult (aged 18+) at all times. Children aged 8-12 years of age must have an adult (aged 18+ onsite, who is watching them at all times.

Can I use my own skates? 

You can use your own skate if they are quad skates. Inlines/Roller blades will not be permitted.  The Roller rink staff will also need to check the wheels for any debris to ensure there are safe to use on the rink.

Can I get tickets on the day? 

There will be plenty of walk-in spaces on every session. To have a greater chance of getting a walk-in space we recommend arriving at least 10 mins before the session is due to start, please be mindful there will be queues. 

I have booked my tickets in advance, what do I do when I arrive?

Please show up to your time slot at least 10 minutes before your session. A member of staff will greet you on arrival, where they will get you checked-in, and hand you your skates.

Can I transfer my session time? 

Yes as long as it is 4 hours before the session is due to start.

When should I arrive? 

We advise you to arrive a minimum of 10 minutes before your session.

 Anyone who arrives more than 10 minutes late we may not be able to accommodate you onto your preferred session time.

Where can I leave my bags? 

Please note that no bags are permitted on the rink, so we encourage you to only bring the essentials with you. 

Personal belonging left anywhere, will be left at your own risk.  

What do I need to know if I’m bringing children? 

If you are bringing children, please note that only those over the age of 5 will be permitted on the rink. Those under 8 will need to be supervised. Although there are staff on the ground to help, it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to make sure they are skating in the right direction.

What should I wear? 

Anything you are comfortable wearing, but please ensure you have socks as they are required.

Can I bring food/drinks?

No food or drinks are allowed into the skate hire area or on the rink

Can I take photographs? 

You can take photographs for personal use; for health and safety reasons, selfie sticks, large cameras, video cameras or audio recording devices are not allowed on the rink. The use of tripods is not permitted anywhere on-site.

Is there wheelchair access? 

Wheelchair users have full access to the venue and manual wheelchair access to the rink

Are there SEN sessions? 

Weekday 12pm sessions will be SEN-friendly sessions where the music will be quieter and there will be less skaters on the rink.

Are there toilets nearby? 

The nearest  toilets are the public toilets in Centrale, located on the ground floor next to Superdrug or on the lower mall next to Croydon Boxing Academy.

Code of Conduct 

Roller skating is a sport with inherent risks. Guests skate at their own risk.

Ticket holders under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted on the rink.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to and/or ask people to leave the event in reasonable circumstances including without limitation for health and safety or licensing reasons; if you behave in a manner which has or is likely to affect the enjoyment of other persons at the event; if you use threatening, abusive or insulting words or mannerisms; if, in our reasonable opinion, you are acting under the influence of alcohol or drugs; if you are unable, when required, to produce proof of identity or age; if you don’t listen to our staff; if you breach these terms; or if your ticket is void.
